Because of 2toDrive, you can start driving lessons earlier, from the age of 16.5. From the day you turn 17, you can take your driving test.

Because of 2toDrive, you can start driving lessons earlier, from the age of 16.5. From the day you turn 17, you can take your driving test. Have you passed? Then you can drive until your 18th birthday under the guidance of your chosen coach(es). So you no longer have to wait until your 18th birthday before you can finally start driving lessons, how cool is that?
Why 2toDrive?
Research by the Foundation for Scientific Traffic Safety Research shows that 20% of all serious accidents involve young people. While the group of novice drivers makes up only a small proportion of all road users. SWOV has calculated that if 2toDrive is introduced in the Netherlands it could lead to 16 fewer traffic fatalities annually. Moreover, in Germany it has resulted in fewer fines and accidents among young people.
How does 2toDrive work?
Are you 16 years old?
Then you may start taking your theory exam.
From 16.5 years of age
Then you may start taking driving lessons.
From 17 years of age
When you turn 17, you may take driving tests.
Obtained driver's license?
Then you can ride with your coach(s) until you are 18.
From the age of 18
From the age of 18, you may drive a car on the road independently.
